How we calculate your monthly payment amount
Fuel Services, Inc. estimates your annual usage based on your billing history from the previous two years. If we do not have a two year history, we will estimate based on the size of your home and/or what you use your product for. Then, using current rates, we calculate an annual billing amount and divide by 12 to determine your monthly SmartPay payment.
After you enroll in SmartPay, your account will be billed for fuel as we deliver it to you, at the respective daily price on the day we deliver it. We will also bill any program fees and/or service agreements to your account as they renew. Your monthly statement will show your actual account balance even though you only pay the monthly SmartPay amount. The only time you pay more than the SmartPay amount is if you have had a billable service call or other miscellaneous charge, then you would pay the SmartPay amount plus the total of those charges.
At least twice a year, we compare your actual usage to the estimated amount used to calculate your monthly SmartPay payment. If your usage is higher or lower than expected, or if there has been a significant change in the price of product, we will adjust your payment to keep your account in balance. We will notify you of any change in your SmartPay payment.
After each year of participation in SmartPay, we will evaluate your account. If you have paid more or less than what was actually billed to your account for the year, we add or subtract that amount from your estimated annual billing amount when calculating the SmartPay payment for the coming year.

30 DAY PAY with 10 Day Pay Discount
Customers with approved credit will be given net 30-day payment terms. Heating oil customers who choose to pay within 10 days of their fuel oil delivery date will receive a 10 cent per gallon prompt pay discount. For clients that are not on SmartPay program, all previous deliveries must be paid before another will be given.
COD
We will be happy to make fuel deliveries to anyone in our coverage area on a COD basis. We’ll collect payment in advance, not at time of delivery. We accept cash, personal checks (credit approved only), money orders, MasterCard, Visa and Discover.
