Fuel Service blog

Hello,

Sorry for the lack of posts over the last couple of weeks.

I just wanted to mention that the Online Account Management System is now up!  This system allows you to make your own account log in… then pay your bills, order fuel…look up your account history and the works.  We have been working diligently over the last several months to be able to offer this type of system to our customers.   Please email me directly at chris@fuelservices.biz with any questions and/or comments you have on this tool.

With this being said, today we were made aware of an error when tyring to make your account.  I have support working on this now, and with any luck.. this error will be corrected within 24 hours.  If there is a lengthy delay, I will update this blog post.

I hope everyone is having a happy new year!

Chris

The winner of this month’s drawing for taking their time to complete the online customer satisfaction survey is…..

Pam Lasante of Chicopee!

Congratulations!

Please remember anyone can enter each month… (although if you have already done so, please wait till after you have had a service call, install, oil delivery…. something where we could possibly get some new input)

I think this survey is going to be of enormous help to us in providing superior customer service.

Thanks!

I probably shouldn’t name this post that title, but it certainly is catchy!

After too many delays, and more customer requests than I care to admit, we are almost ready to launch the online customer account section of the website.  (There is one last thing we are waiting on from our friends at Microsoft… for the technical minded it is a upload package that lets two different SQL databases sync)

For those that don’t know by now, the online customer account section will work like many large enterprise businesses have.  It wIll allow you to pay your bills online(credit cards only to start), lookup your transaction history, budget inforamtion.. things such as that)  As time goes on, I am sure that many additional features will be added to it.

Anywhoo, I was thinking that before I place the actual signin link on the new current customer section of the website for all to use, I would like to get a few of our customers to test it out privately first.  So over the next week or two, I will be gathering individuals to do just that!  If you are interested, please send me a private email…  chris@fuelservices.biz

We are looking forward to providing this additional free service to our customers.

Thanks

Hello,

I must apologize for my lack of posts over the last month!  I have no excuse!  (I figure honesty is best)  However, in saying that… boy oh boy have I been busy!

I have been working on several new projects and such, some of which I would like to share with you now.

First, I will start with the website itself….  I am working on a detailed customer survery that I expect to have on the website (and fully functional) in 10 days.  All of us here at Fuel Services are interested in what our clients have to say about us. How we are doing… What customers would like to see different… How we can improve our products and services… and so on.   Recently, I have been having detailed conversations with several of our customers on a number of specific issues, most importantly - pricing programs.  Their feedback has given me several ideas which I am currently exploring now.

Our Fall printed newsletter Warm Thoughts should be mailing in the next two weeks.  Within each newsletter will be a reply card that has a quick survey.  We are asking all of our clients for their feedback! This will also introduce our detailed customer survey on the website.  (for those who wish to leave more detailed feedback)  Customers who return the survey card will be entered into a drawing to receive a prize.  There is also no charge for the postage.  I guess what I am trying to say with above two paragraphs is.. we need to here from you… our customers! We truly do care, and want to make dealing with us, the best experience we possibly can.

Ok.. Back to the website…  After many many months.. the customer web interface is actually almost done.. ( really this time)  I was up in Boston a couple of weeks ago at my software developers user group meeting to see a demo of it.  I am quite excited with the results.  You will be able to view your account history online, pay your bill online, order oil online, see your estimated next delivey date online… Things such as that.  My software company tells me that I should have it all up and running within a month… So please check back often… I know several of you have been waiting patiently for this.

I am also in the very beginning stages of creating a customer page for the website. (I haven’t quite determined what to call it yet)  Basically it is going to be a section of the website dedicated just for our current clients.  I will have things on there such as how to read your invoices, statements… maybe a poll or two.. Any ideas are welcome.  That is also where I will probably put the link to “Log into My account”

We are in the beggining stages of producing a couple of videos for the website.. you will actually be able to put some faces to the voices you hear on the phone.   I haven’t decided if I am going to be in them.. I am certainly not photogenic. :)

Finally on the website front, I am going to get my email club back up and running.  There will be a section on the front of the website that will allow you to “Sign up for our email club”… I had started one some time ago, but then a bunch of rules and such changed… and you had to have opt out controls and tools such as that, which I didn’t have at the time so the project never got off.. But now that I finally have all that stuff.. Look for it soon. I am going to assume that many of you are like myself, and never read printed stuff, only what’s emailed to you.

Thank You all for your patronage…  Please, if you have any comments or suggestions, let us know.
